Kingfisher KO'd by the weather
Last weekend's Kingfisher Beer Cup fixtures were completely washed out as the wettest April since records began claimed another victim.
Barring four games which were played earlier in the month, every first round match was abandoned with clubs now hoping for an improved forecast over the May Bank Holiday Weekend so they can complete their matches.
Last year's winners Shrewsbury will be hoping it is second time lucky when they travel to North Staffordshire & South Cheshire League side Stafford.
The 2010 champions, South Northumberland, host fellow North East Premier League side Stockton while current National Club Twenty20 title holders Ealing face a short trip to Middlesex County League side Shepherds Bush.
In the NEPL this coming Sunday is scheduled to be the opening round of the Banks Salver, however Kingfisher Cup matches will take precedence and Salver games will be rearranged.
